Forgive me for my forgetfulness today or be thankful for my excitement. Either way, thank you. Yup, it Saturday and I wrote and posted for Sunday. Have a fantastic weekend.
I’m just a bit overwhelmed right now. A bit with life, a bit with trying to get my business off the ground and most certainly with the state of the world. Looking for the silver lining, the bright spot so I am off to take a walk in what will be a scorcher of a day. In the meantime, this quote is square on the shoulders of the current political shoulders of the candidates. Enjoy your Sunday!
We are all dealing with some challenging situation. Some days there is a silver lining, other days we are begging for some clarity.
Recently I’ve been watching this cable channel “Viceland” and it’s riveting honesty has caused some sleepless nights. It covers the real war on drugs, poverty, life in America. Not all topics are heavy but the perspective is refreshing.
Every once in a while we do need to exhale and take some time for what truly matters to us because ….
The sad state of these divided states of America. You cannot tell me when we have allowed and encouraged persons to disrespect the President of the United States on a daily basis, having political candidates who promote hate and division that the catalyst for this turmoil is not evident. Everyone matters but how can we stand to say this when there are groups of people who are treated like they don’t matter, they don’t make contributions to society? Thought provoking words from a mother who has a son who’s life she is in angst over because of his skin color, a husband who she wants home safe. My friend who is married to a police officer, they’re both friends of ours, doesn’t quite see it this way. Everyone is protective of their own but I do believe if we work at it together we can put aside the fear which breeds frustration. It’s going to take more that prayer, that I know.
What a world we are currently living in! Chaos and mayhem everywhere we turn as we struggle to hold on to what brings us happiness. I remember as a child singing very boldly “What the world needs now is love, sweet love” but now I think adding an abundance of prayer, a deep understanding, better conflict resolution and certainly respect will be a mantra.
